「Visually clean room, but unattended check-in and overwhelming chemical odor.」
+Location and affordability were the primary reasons I chose this motel. I also felt a sense of nostalgia, having lived in the area years ago and remembering the motel from that time. It was a beautiful fall day, and I was looking forward to my stay. To the motel's credit, the bathroom and bed appeared very clean and well prepared upon arrival, giving a positive first impression.
−Upon arriving around 7:00 PM, I found the main office dark and unattended. To reach someone, I had to use the Ring doorbell at the office entrance. I was then informed that my room key card had been left protruding from my motel room door. After retrieving the key and entering the room, I was immediately overwhelmed by an extremely strong odor of cleaning products or disinfectants. The air was so heavily saturated with the smell that I was unable to remain in the room for more than a few minutes and had to leave. The odor was not merely noticeable; it was overpowering and made the room unusable for me. A smooth check-in process and a comfortable, habitable room are basic expectations for any motel stay. Unfortunately, the unattended office upon arrival and the overwhelming chemical odor in the room resulted in a very disappointing experience.

「Recommend for a sleep stay.」
+Clean, safe, comfortable beds, pleasant and engaging proprietor.
−Thi motel is somewhat refurbished. Tiny bathroom, tiny shower, refrigerator froze everything. No coffee. Close to busy weekend highway traffic noise that was comfortably quieter after dark.

+Very clean. Well lit and easy to find in the dark, which was important due to our late arrival in a somewhat remote area. The front desk stayed late to greet us.

+location was good. Close to Lime Rock track. 1/2 mile away from an excellent diner. 10 miles to town(Kent) for an excellent dinner.
−refrigerator not turned on. they knew when we would be there. rear security camera on a rear upper deck,appeared to look into our bathroom. creepy. the room should have had a broom to knock down the spider webs in all of the "rooms". King bed was "worn" on each side. large indentation from all of the previous occupants. No curtain over front door window. It was a large oval ,frosted. about 3 feet tall. This is the motel that you first come to when entering a town. You're so tired that you take it. When you leave , you see all of the other motels that you could have stayed at. this has happened to us before. For the region, this was cheap. Didn't know how tourist dependent it was. Most were overpriced for what they are. We were 10 miles south of our destination. In CT ,they drive around the mountains. In VT, they drive over them.

−The first room I was given smell like cat, urine, or mouse infestation. It was so bad! I was moved to another room, which did not smell or else. I would not have been able to stay there. The room was so bad, just old and worn out. And absolutely disgusting. The only thing I could say positive as it looked like it was clean, except for it. Looked like blood on a curtain. There was one chair which had holes in it. I was actually afraid of bed bugs. It was so bad. I pulled the sheets back to check. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. There was nothing positive to say about this place. The only thing that was good it’s it was close to. My sister, she lives in the country and it was her 80th birthday so I felt I had no other option. So disappointed that this was actually on Booking.com with somewhat decent readings. I wasn’t expecting very much, but this was just beyond bad.
