+It’s a beautiful hotel. The location is fantastic. The staff were exceptionally attentive. and the conservatory for breakfast and cocktails was wonderful with amazing views of the lake
−Our only criticism and downside of having a room with a lake view was that it also looked over the car park, which meant that every morning at 4:30 AM we got woken up by a lorry reversing into the car park to make deliveries

「Beautiful old school hotel with high standards」
+The lakeside location and beautiful views were brilliant and meant we were in the centre of Como but not mixed up in the hurly burly of what is a very busy resort. The hotel has a “belle epoch” interior and is old school grand. Staffing and service are very traditional and of a very high standard. The whole place is immaculately clean and tidy. The views from the substantial balcony terrace were wonderful and provided a quiet spot at the end of the day.
−Whilst breakfast was substantial and very high quality we found the evening menu a little disappointing and expensive. There are better places nearby. One thing that’s not the hotel’s fault but be prepared the mosquitoes on Lake Como are huge and hungry and numerous. Go prepared.
