“Wonderful place to stay”
+Beautiful location and buildings, we stayed in the garden extension. Staff really friendly & accommodating. Dinner & breakfast were delicious
+Yes
+This is a lovely property in a beautiful spot. We stayed in one of the historic rooms in the main building. It was comfortable, quiet, and the water pressure was excellent. The three course dinner with wine pairings was delicious and beautifully presented, if a tad pricey. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A unique hotel experience that we would definitely do again.
+Staff, the location, the food , all excellent.we really enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to go back.
+Absolutely wonderful historic hotel. Stunning location beside the fjord with lovely walk. Staff do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay. Hotel is stylish and comfortable, food is fantastic.
“Charming”
+Gorgeous historical property for which I spent more than usual due to such wonderful reviews from everywhere. I was studying the capital Urnes stave church and could just take the little ferry across the field to get there. The old world charm of the garden with the summer house, the lovely appointed dining room and salon, and the charming village climbing up the hill behind the hotel made the stay delightful. If the dollar weren’t so weak, it would be more affordable!
“Divine”
+Exquisite!!
+This place was above and beyond! The dinner was excellent, and the service was top notch. Worth every penny (or krone), and I hope to return someday!
“Great historic get-away hotel”
+Great historic get-away hotel, beautifully situated with a view over Sognefjorden. Perfect place for a couple of relaxing days, with many options for hiking, kayaking and sightseing in the area.
