+Close to beach. All staff was great. Door guys and beach guy.
−Food quality prices for everything were way too high for what u got. Coffee drinks food all were way to high

“Perfekter Luxus Strandurlaub”
+Perfektes Resort direkt am Strand mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer mit direktem Strandzugang und eigener Feuerstelle. Alles war sehr entspannt und luxuriös. 100% Empfehlung
−Wenn Sie das Meer in Ihrem Zimmer sehen wollen, ist ein Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk zu empfehlen.

“Short staffed, unclean, not worth the price”
+The location and beach.
−Very loud dehumidifiers running throughout the night, disrupting our sleep. The rooms were partially cleaned. The resort is also clearly short staffed so it was hard to get towels for the pool and the beach, we had to setup the chairs and umbrellas without any help with bad backs. Clearly not the relaxing stay we were expecting.
“Easy times at the beach in à quiet location.”
+Since the resort was overbooked, we were moved to à stand alone house near the property. Wonderful upgrade. However, they asked us to move back to the resort the next day which wasn’t necessary. The new room was also great. The beach staff and porters were very helpful. The free bicycles were a delightful way to explore the area.
−The restaurant associated with the resort was overpriced for the meal and drinks they offered.

“This was our 3rd stay at the resort over the past three years. Resort itself is great, great spa, rooms, pool, ocean vie”
+Location, restaurant, pool, spa, fire pits at night. Beach chairs and umbrella,Ocean view.
−This was our 3rd stay here. The attention to detail was not there compared to the first two times. The property went two days without a working ice machine for guest in JULY. All ice machines were down in both buildings at the same time. This seems like something that should never happen at a price point of $700+ per night. Only saw housekeeping once in 4 days on our stay. However, cart was parked outside our room every day. Just did not service room.

“Not luxury, not worth the price.”
+The location
−The resort is positioning itself as a luxury hotel, however, it appears that the current management/service team doesn’t know how to run luxury hotels. The service is sporadic. It would be ok if not for the price they are charging. So either adjust the price or bring up the service standard.

+Lage ist toll, Lobby und Strand sind wunderschön, Essen ist gut
−Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthalts mehrere Mängel. Der Zimmerservice erschien in den ersten zwei Tagen gar nicht und danach erst nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage - gegen 16 Uhr. Das WLAN im Zimmer ist sehr schwach, worauf nirgends hingewiesen wird; lediglich in der Lobby ist der Empfang einwandfrei. Die Fenster im Zimmer ließen sich bei Anreise nicht schließen. Ein Handwerker behob das zwar, allerdings erst nach einer Stunde Wartezeit - um 20:30 Uhr abends. Bei der Abreise wurden uns Steuern und Resortgebühr erneut berechnet, obwohl diese bereits bei der Buchung bezahlt waren. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde der Fehler eingeräumt; die Rückerstattung soll in der kommenden Woche erfolgen.

+Very kind staff who went out of their way to provide me with the best room possible for me. Front desk went out of their way to ensure that I had a great stay and this was greatly appreciated and the reason that I will always make this my go to hotel in the OBX. Incredibly kind beach staff as well who were so very helpful to getting set up! Really a beautiful stay and made all the more wonderful by the great and kind staff.
