+Quality of fittings, furnishings, atmosphere, breakfast and small touches like homemade cookies and fresh milk for the room freely available.

+Bedroom were lovely, very comfy with treats for dogs and and humans. Very clean and spacious Receprion staff very friendly
−Lift didn't work on 3rd floor to go down, which was fine (even with 2 dogs). Was just difficult getting luggage downstairs on my own

“Fabulous stay.”
+Very tastefully decorated and maintained. Good quality furniture and soft furnishings. Great location for the castle and walk into town. Housekeepers and receptionist were very helpful and attentive.
−Price of some of the meals was expensive. Only given a choice of 2 or 3 course menu at dinner. When in fact we could have just had 1 course. The rooms would benefit from a small fridge and also a safe.

+Helpful and very pleasant staff and altogether very comfortable. A nice lounge perfect for aperitifs or after dinner drinks.
−Parking was restricted hours so a voucher from the hotel would be useful. Restaurant was lovely but the menu was a bit on the heavy side.

“We had an enjoyable weekend break doing a bit of bird watching and visiting friends.”
+Apart from the physical aspects of the room and property, which were all good, I think the staff were consistent in offering a great level of service. Hope to return next year.
−Nothing to dislike. Street parking outside the CJ has restrictions but 100m away you can park on the road without restrictions but subject to availability, we had no issues.
