+Loved the room- The staff was especially nice and friendly...Especially the employee from Austrailia who helped us with our bags and other needs- I can't remember his name.
−there was a broken wine glass when we arrived so we weren't able to use it- reported it, but never got a new one. Beds were just okay. Did not like that check-in was several blocks away and we had to carry suitcases across several blocks. With that said, we Really like the room itself and the location!!

“Overlooking Piazza Repubblica”
+Central position overlooking Piazza Repubblica. Located 15 minutes by walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. Very well decorated complimented by painted ceilings. Very clean, airy and bright studio apartment. Highly recommended!

“Great place in many ways except one”
+We liked the apartment a lot as it was spacious, had a kitchenette, and adequate closets and dresser space.
−The sofa. It was really a day bed and it was hard to sort on for an evening as the cushion kept sliding out.

“Great location and ambiance, good facilities.”
+Check in process was efficient, even though it was at a different hotel. Location and view was exceptional, a short walk to all the main historic sites we wanted to visit. Rooms were secure, comfortable and clean with one of the rooms we booked having a vaulted, painted ceiling. The square outside the hotel had a good variety of restaurants (including Hard Rock). The kitchen was well stocked and equipped for heating up food we bought on some days to avoid using a restaurant for all meals. The live music buskers in the square outside enhanced the experience on most evenings and did not go on too long into the late evening. They seemed to be well organized as they were very professional and different on each night. For future visits to Florence we will prioritize this as a place to stay.
−One of the evenings was a bit noisy as there was an event on in an adjacent space that was a bit lively (Saturday).

“Disappointing with the housekeeping service”
+Centrally located, spacious and the apartment was adequate.
−We stayed at Residence La Repubblica for 15 nights (originally booked for 14 nights but extended by 1 night) and were very disappointed with the housekeeping service. The apartment was cleaned only once during our entire stay, and fresh towels were provided just once, after five days. For such a long stay, we would have expected at least one further clean and a second change of towels and linen. The lack of regular housekeeping made a 15-night, stay much less comfortable than expected. We would not stay there again.
