“Fighting to retain some charn .”
+The original part had some charm as do the gardens.
−It has been renovated in a way that has dated quickly. There were few charging points and none near the bed. Breakfast was lacklustre.

“Hotel imperdível e maravilhoso”
+Hotel maravilhoso. Adoramos

“Mooi gelegen luxe hotel”
+Mooie ligging, ruime kamers, lekker ontbijt.
−Beetje grote ruimtes waardoor minder gezellig.

+Quarto limpo e amplo. Atendeu as necessidades e vista lindíssima
“Excellent value, good location. Would stay here again.”
+Good location, right next to the cable car station and Monte tropical gardens. Decent free parking. Breakfast was good, selection of hot and cold foods. Staff were all very friendly. Welcome drink on arrival.
−Only negative about the room was no electric sockets near the bed.

+Quarto maravilhoso, com vista fantástica, amplo e limpo. Funcionários super simpáticos e acessíveis. Atenderam a todas as necessidades.

“It did not meet our expectations”
+The garden , atmosphere, design, staff
−Breakfast could be better, there was not much variety. Our room was in second floor, The elevator didn’t stop on this floor, so we had to go up to the 3rd floor and then walk down to the 2nd.
“Next to the Monte Palace gardens.”
+The room was a good size, comfortable with a good view. The bathroom was also a good size but a bit tired.
−Breakfast was basic. The coffee was the worst we found in a week on Madeira! Yuck! The bacon was appalling and a waste of meat. Pastries were basic.
