“Nice hotel in the center of Essen”
+Nice location in the center of Essen, walking distance to the shopping street with all the restaurants and bars. Clean and new, the room was a bit on the small side but it had a cute balcony.
−I received an email to complete the check in online. I did it and then the system somehow messed up the booking so the second guest was showing as a primary guest (although the booking and payment were made by me). Also, the online check-in option gave a (not very user-friendly) hotel map, where you would potentially be able to choose the room, which is a great idea, but it didn't really work as the room was already selected and it was impossible to select another one...

+Lage in der Innenstadt top. Frühstück war schmackhaft und frisch. Das Zimmer (XL) war sehr groß und gut ausgestattet.

+Die Unterkunft war sauber und das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend:-)
−Leider war die Umgebung nicht sehr toll. Abends einige Drogendealer und Konsumenten. Leider konnte man auch keinen Platz in der Tiefgarage reservieren um abends noch einen sicheren Parkplatz zu haben.

“Decent hotel but you can find greater value for your money”
+- large rooms - complementary water on arrival - gym
−- homeless people literally everywhere around the hotel - hotelroom not cleaned ones. No instructions anywhere visible or communicated - room coffee not replaced - cafetaria unattended during the afternoon cannot order anything - not up to standard of other NH hotels
