“A stay there did not materialise.”
+The staff stationed at the residence tried to resolve the issue.
−I booked for 8 nights. About a week before my arrival, I received an email from the property initiating a cancellation. The email was confusing as it had a click button I could click to cancel the booking. Meanwhile, Booking.com app showed that my booking was confirmed. This led me to believe that the email was a free cancellation option so I didn’t think too much into it. When I arrived at the property, to my horror, I was informed that my booking was cancelled and the property did not have a room for me. Meanwhile, Booking.com app still showed that my reservation was confirmed. I was left in a very dire situation. There is an issue with the way the cancellation was conveyed leading to the confusion. Booking.com and the property have to sort this out. I also find it very unprofessional for the property to cancel my reservation so near my arrival date. When I did not click on the cancellation button in the email, they should have attempted to reach out to me to understand the situation which they did not.
