+The hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms and all public and garden areas lovely. Decor, cleanliness and attention to detail top notch.. We were early so left our bag with Tara who was absolutly delightful while we went to explore Checking in with Maria who was really customer service at it's very best and also taken our bag to our room. Rooms excellent, sleep masks, pillow spray all tea, coffee machine, milk biscuits high quality. Beds and bedding high end. We had a problem with noise and Maria again changed us to another equally as nice room without question. If we were to return to York this would definitely be my first choice.

+Very cosy comfortable room , bed was very comfy too The breakfast was excellent , very tasty with plenty of choice available. In the room I particularly liked the nice little touches , the old fashioned telephone by the bed , and a Roberts radio , nice , I like hotels that have a more thoughtful approach. The hotel is ideally located to explore York city centre , all the main attractions are in easy walking distance., all the staff were polite .
−The only two negatives, was a rather slow check in, although to be fair I think on my arrival time they were short staffed. Also apon entering my room for the first time , there was a musty smell , but it went when I opened the window ,and it didn't return when I came back to the room .
+Excellent location with parking Very friendly staff and so helpful
+Great location close to city centre. Clean, comfortable with a very good quality breakfast .
−Sat nav sent us to the front of the hotel where there is no access to the car park which is at the rear and difficult find

−We requested room servicing after 2 days, but that never happened. I also requested a lighter duvet and firmer pillow but again these didn't arrive.
