“Dishonest and/or incompetent management.”
+I was unable to stay at Malanda Lodge on the day I booked. This was because, at 6:30 pm the reception was unattended, and nobody was answering the after hours number. (My own phone was not working due to network issues, however an employee at Malanda Hotel, where I went to straight afterwards, tried to call them and no-one answered). After my trip I contacted the manager to complain about this and request a refund. The manager apologized and said she would arrange for booking.com to provide this refund asap. I still haven't received the refund, despite making further contact to find out what the problem is.

“Beautiful property”
+Could not fault our stay. The lodge is on the most beautiful property and the gardens are just beautiful. The rooms are nicely renovated and the beds are comfortable. The continental buffet breakfast was good and everything was restocked once it ran out. For the price we paid, you honestly can’t go past the Malanda Lodge! It’s also very close to the big tourist attractions

“Disappointing”
+Floors were still wet after mopping when we arrived at 3pm, sticky feet for kids. Room ok but no grab rail from basic slippy shower, high step. Continental breakfast was the worst I've come across despite my travels on a budget in Eastern Europe.

+Absolutely stunning little lodge. Very friendly, extremely clean rooms and surrounding area. Love the homestead feel with the special little decor touches. HIGHLY reccomend staying here.
+Malanda Lodge was the perfect overnight stay in Malanda. Staff were extremely helpful, rooms were decorated with thoughtful touches, and it was lovely and peaceful. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I ever return to the area.
+What a lovely surprise to walk into our room. The photos of the accommodation looked lovely but the reality was even better. Check in was very welcoming and the relaxed atmosphere of the place made for a great stay.
