“The hosts treated us like friends which was very enjoyable and the hotel has an intriguing history, making it special”
+It was quirky and interesting
“A good overnight stay”
+The owners were most welcoming & Bernadette made a real effort to make a special meal for me as the the menu for the evening did not have any non meat options. My motorbike was safely stored in a dry storage building 😊

“Je recommande”
+Excellent hôtel de charme dans la petite ville de De Rust. Accueil très agréable par le personnel, on se sent très bien dans cet hôtel, je reviendrai rapidement.

“Awesome and wonderful establishment. Best hotel stay in the world!”
+Liked everything about Hotel de Rust. A must see and stay! Werner, Bernadette and Michael are fantastic hosts. Old world charm and very nostalgic. Food is excellent. This is truly a gem!
“great host and lovely breakfast”
+The owners / family made us very welcome and were honest in the fact that the hotel was still a time capsule of the past, with much more work to do.
“Was like meeting old friends in comfort and sit down for superb dinner!”
+We were welcomed with typical rural SA warmth! It was no hassle to check in. The bar/ dining room is where travelers get together and we chat- informal, sharing best experiences. Food is served onsite - which is super comfortable and both dinner and breakfast was delicious. It was a wonderful stay!
