“Unexpected comfort and very happy with the "mistake" I made. 2 rooms, great value.”
+Hesitant as it is a pub with accommodation and shared bathroom. Rooms were clean, as were bathrooms and very comfortable. The Hotel had a restaurant attached and for a Tuesday night it was very busy with mostly locals. The food was delicious, very well priced. Bar staff were friendly and provided information.
−Not much really, shared bathroom was not a problem for me as the only female in our group, female staff have rooms there and so felt very safe and as stated were clean.

+Fresh towels, plenty of fresh towels which was great.
−Our family room smelt soo bad, like a lot of sweaty bodies rubbed up all over the walls n floors. Bad bad BO, worse than Darwin during summer. Tried with our own Glen20 to kill the odour but failed. The room was lit up at night because of the outdoor Hotel signage, no black out. Lucky we were super tired from driving. And the communal bathroom was gross, lots of "body hair", left over soaps. Definitely keep your pluggers on and when it's communal bathrooms, shower curtains should be replaced with doors especially when the place is fully booked 🤢 for a last minute pull over due to fatigue, $140+ you get what you pay for. Was an experience and most likely won't be back again.

“Basic but clean, good for a nights stopover.”
+Clean. Comfortable. Friendly staff.
−Rooms at front of hotel are VERY loud due to being right on the main highway. Request a room at rear of hotel if you’re a light sleeper!!!

+Great cooked meals in the pub. Beautiful very old hotel but very good value for money
−No off street parking, shared bathroom, heavy wood smell in bedroom, also almost locked out at pub closing time outside. No bedside table so I used a chair. Trucks are very noisy on the main road at night, and when leaving you use walk down the fire stairs But you would not stay at a place built in 1895 and not expect lots of quirks and unusual things.
