“Extremely disappointing check-in experience - poor customer service”
+Just one member of staff Tattende and easy link off motorway
−Title: Extremely disappointing check-in experience - poor customer service I arrived at DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry just before 7pm on 30 October 2026. Unfortunately, my experience at reception was upsetting and completely below the standard I would expect from Hilton. After entering my vehicle registration details, I waited with my heavy bags, remaining clearly visible to reception. Due to back discomfort, I eventually sat nearby while waiting to be served. Despite arriving before another couple, I was overlooked by Priti. When I politely explained that I had been waiting first, rather than acknowledging my concerns, the situation escalated. I felt ganged up on and intimidated by the couple , including a remark suggesting I might physically confront them. I made it clear that I do not engage in conflict. I felt Priti failed to manage the situation professionally or treat me fairly. I experienced her conduct as dismissive and involving microaggressions, leaving me feeling humiliated and unsupported. One positive deserves recognition: Tantende, another receptionist, showed genuine kindness. She acknowledged my distress, offered tissues and water, and demonstrated the compassion an

−I got told I wasn't able to stay even though j had booked and paid in full over a week beforehand. I was told they had overbooked the hotel at 9:45pm when trying to check in so had to taxi to another hotel and leave my group I was travelling with.

−I am writing to make a formal complaint about my recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below the standard I expected from a Hilton-branded hotel, and I do not feel the service and facilities justified what I paid. There were several issues throughout our stay that significantly affected our experience. 1. Room security To begin with, there was no functioning lock on our room door. This was extremely concerning, as guests should be able to feel safe and secure in their own rooms. I consider this a serious issue that should not occur in a hotel of your standing. 2. Parking arrangements I paid £20 for parking, yet I was unable to obtain a parking bay and had to park further away. I was travelling with my mum, who has heart problems and a disabled parking badge, making the lack of suitable parking particularly inconvenient. I do not believe it is reasonable to charge guests for parking when an appropriate space is not available. I would like the £20 parking charge refunded. 3. Excessive noise throughout the night There was a convention taking place during our stay, and the hotel was very noisy every night. The level of noise made the
