+Loved absolutely everything from the drive to the castle, the warm welcome from Geraldine at reception (she was a spectacular lady so kind) the room blew us away and my two boys were so excited to explore the hotel and the next morning the grounds were so beautiful. Just an amazing place to stay.

+Beautiful location. Very helpful staff. 2 Irish Wolf Hounds. The rooms in the Lodge were huge.
+The staff was wonderful, the rooms were spacious and we loved being greeted by the wolfhounds! Excellent touch! The woods, walking trails and outside areas were nice. Breakfast was delicious. The music in the pub was very entertaining.
−We booked the picnic and bike rental and were looking forward to riding around the grounds on the many trails. The picnic was good, but we were told we could only ride them on the roads outside of the castle grounds. So, we walked instead.

+More of a villa than a castle in my opinion, but still an exotic experience for me. I stayed in the gate house rather than the main house, but it was well appointed and I had no regrets. Breakfast was buffet style, and well done. I had dinner in the bar restaurant, where it was probably friendlier. Had a nice conversation with the barkeep. Don't miss meeting the wolfhounds if you can! Oh, and don't turn too soon off the road into Ballyseede House instead of Balleyseede Castle!

−We originally booked the lodge, which is not in the castle. It was not clear when we booked (it sounded like a room name thst hotels randomly assign to rooms). We ended up paying more on site to stay in the castle.
