Formerly a sewing factory that made bomber jackets during World War II, this fully renovated building has been transformed into a creative artistic space with beautifully appointed rooms and suites designed for two adults. Each room is completely individual in design and furnishings with no two rooms alike. Many rooms showcase original industrial details with exposed beams and brick walls and others have been transformed into white wall gallery spaces with an eclectic layer of 80's glam and pop. Suites offer elaborate baths with oversized soaking tubs or large walk-in showers and additional space to lounge. The building is 2 stories (no elevator) and does not allow children or animals in these rooms. Located just off Main Street behind a secret garden gate, guests find an unexpected urban oasis full of flowers, sculpture and fire-lit tables, and are also invited to enjoy the rooftop vista and lounge areas of the adjacent sister property, The Dutchess. Beacon's art scene including Dia Beacon and Main Street galleries is within walking distance, and the property sits on the Metro-North Hudson Line, 80 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. The Factory also offers Artist Apartments for short and long term stays, each with an exterior entrance, full kitchen, living room and separate bedroom.
