“Intriguing Old English Night Stop!”
+Beautiful location and local history. Food was very tasty. Breakfast by the fire and background music was a great start to the day.
−Some strange noises at night! Bedroom door was not lockable from the inside. Alot of steps to navigate with luggage - fine for us but could be tricky for others.

+Well cooked breakfast. Open fires lit.
−General tidiness a bit poor. Carpets not hoovered when coming for breakfast. Should be first job

“Really enjoyed our stay, lovely accommodation and ideally placed.”
+Amazing breakfast. Loved that you fill in a form the day before the breakfast so that it is all ready and laid out for you. The staff were friendly, there was always someone available and they bent over backwards to help. The evening meal was very good. The room was spacious, clean and had lovely bedding. The pipes were a little noisy in one of our rooms and we could hear the shower in the room next door (which awoke us early) but other than that the rooms were great. The location is amazing. Just a half hour drive into the mountains in the Lake District and I suspect the same with the Yorkshire Peaks too. Ample parking. The Fairy Stones were just a short walk straight from the Wheatsheaf and well worth checking out. We will definitely be going back again.

“Disappointing to say the least, it didn’t live up to the reviews.”
+It was close to our destination the next day
−The room was cold, the bar was grubby and the wooden surfaces were sticky. Our room was cold and there was no hot water for a shower.
