“Good location, not so good for dogs!”
+Reception team were great. Central location was good for exploring Kendal. Room was nice and view of the river lovely.
−Given it’s a dog friendly hotel it makes little sense that there is no green area to take your dog to toilet, had wander down the road to find one. Staff in the restaurant were poor, ate there twice and twice there were errors from the two young girls serving. First time my food wasn’t served with my wife’s soup (25 mins later!) as requested and second time I asked for the Prawn Curry and received a bowl of prawns! Felt like a bit of a care less attitude I’m afraid.

“Great location but awful hotel policies”
+Great location and nice breakfast
−Booked 2 nights, it was the same price for 1 or 2 people in a double room,I originally booked it for myself but my wife decided to come along at the last minute and was annoyed when I was charged another £50 at check in due to my wife coming, I explained it was the same price for 1 or 2 people even on their own website it was the same price for either 1 or 2 people. The management refused to accept this as they said that the rates fluctuated. Have never had this issue before.

“Chilled and relaxing…..home from home.”
+Friendly staff who made us and our dog feel so welcome as always and the excellent location. The food was exceptional on this visit too.
−I can honestly say that there really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

−Nearly had to call reception as I got stuck in the bath! Took me 20minutes to get out. No grab handle or taps to hold on to.

+The location ideal for me, at the “foot” of Kendal but so near the train station. The facility was well run with helpful staff , a good breakfast and attention to any questions asked. I also appreciated the use of the gym and pool in the building. I would stay again.

+Easy allocated free parking. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly nature of the hotel. Great sized family room and very comfortable beds.
−The whole hotel was far too hot (this is personal preference though). Needs a refurbishment, such a beautiful building but many areas worn out. All clean though which is main thing.

+The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the river. They put chocolates on the bed for my husband's birthday and the staff were very accommodating. The leisure facilities were a lovely addition.
