1.0“The worst hotel in saint george utah with the worst manager , i've met in my life”
+Honestly, it was hard to like anything
−I didn't like how the manager was nice at first, but then any inconvenience for her would result in you getting kicked out and not getting a refund or you getting upcharged $250. They have white towels, and she said, any stain on a white towel is gonna cost 80 bucks to replace\n And then 1010 minutes past checkout is gonna cost you 75. I booked 2 nights for a 150, and they ended up taking 350 for a towel or 2 that was stained, and she was not nice at all very unreasonable.\n I'm going to do my best to make sure no one ever stays at that hotel ever again.

7.0“Good location, dated room.”
+The room was pretty clean. The location is great with many restaurants and shops within a mile or so. The location felt pretty safe despite being on a very busy street. The view across the street from the hotel is pretty spectacular!
−The room was very dated and not at all like the pictures, but we probably just didn't get one of the rooms that looked like the pictures. The furniture was super dated, the carpet wasn't all that clean (but carpets never look clean), but the bathroom was pretty clean.

10.0+Warm and welcoming 😊
−Needs a lil TLC on the floors in hallways, tiles are popping up, I know a good handyman who can fix for a reasonable price

7.0“Met the basics”
+It had the basics. Comfy bed and pillows. Hot water. Nice towels. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot. Wi-Fi ( usually worked). I didn’t use the tv but it was large screen. Good location. No office or front desk but the manager lady seemed to always be around taking care of things and was very nice. So was the lady who cleaned the room. Parking.
−No chair. There was a bistro table with two stools. Some of the light bulbs needed to be replaced. The refrigerator froze my strawberries and yogurt for some reason. It was somewhat dated. The arrangement was a little weird with no front desk/ office so more like an Airbnb but the lady was nice and worked really hard to keep a watch on things. No breakfast included.

1.0“DO NOT STAY THERE!”
+The size of the room was good.
−We were scheduled to be there from Oct 4-10th. On October 8 I was charged $250 for supposedly trying to break in to my room even after I showed them our card keys worked. They said the entire door frame was damaged by us so after being there for 4 days we were kicked out, locks changed & they did not refund me the money I paid for the rest of the week.

1.0“Crappy motel with a Crazy owner who will fradulenty charge you to make extra money.”
+I reserved the Chalet Motel far in advance to avoid the typical two-three fold increase in hotel costs due to the 30-40,000 visitors to St. George during the Huntsman Senior Games. Reading the reviews the owner is a temperamental aggressive person, but since I felt like I would only have to deal with this person during check-in, I reserved anyway via Booking.com. Reading other reviews about “lost” reservations I called a week prior to arrival and left a message. I also emailed to make sure there were no issues with the reservation. There was no return call or email. Reviews were current so we assumed the motel was still open and arrived as scheduled. Room reviews were only so-so. However, I would totally disagree that they are that high. I can accept some level of discomfort if the price is appropriate. You get what you pay for. The room had torn carpet on the transition to the bathroom leaving carpet tack strips exposed. The two of us were constantly stepping on this tack strip in our bare feet and it was painful. I fortunately had brought some Crocs and accepted it. There were mouse glue strips in the room. I will let you guess why it was there but it was concerning to us. We wer
−Now for the real problem. After check out I was charged two $50 charges to my credit card resulting in $100 of unauthorized charges. I called immediately and left a message. After a couple of hours there was no call back. Prior to leaving St. George we drove to the hotel to try and figure out what was going on. In a very confrontational voice she said we had bleed on the sheets and she was charging a “damage fee”. She said it could have been as high as $250 and she cut us a break at only $100. We are two males, in two beds. There are no bloody period stains that we are leaving! She would not answer what the cost of sheets were. Conclusion: Because we reserved so far in advance, she rented rooms at the normal price. Fraudulently charging $100 is her attempt to make up for that error on her part. This is flat out theft and I am disputing the charges. This person will cheat you so I don’t recommend staying there even though the price looks low for low quality. Other reviews show a $200 charge for one towel. This is a pattern of stealing from the guest by making unauthorized exorbitant fraudulent charges.
