“A slice of Canadiana”
+The location was great, right off of the highway and yet there was minimal road noise through the night. The Sunset Motel is like stepping back in time for a Canadiana roadside motel.
−The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was useful, but nothing special. I'm not sure what you would expect from a motel, but please don't expect luxury. The fridge did not seem to be cold enough, which meant we had to throw out some food we'd brought with us.

+Easy Check in Process, the person behind the desk was kind.
−Garbage was under the bed, overwhelming smell like an entire can of Febreze was used in the room before we arrived.

“Having spiders in the bed cost me money.”
+Once I discovered the spider in the bed he quickly gave me my money back. He said that he was going to classify it as a no-show with booking.com
−As soon as we got in the room and peel back the sheets or was a huge black jumping spider and God knows what else.

“Older basic motel with all you need for a good night's sleep.”
+The motel is just off the highway, next to an A&W. Although it was next to the highway, there was almost no highway noise noticeable. Check-in was easy and the staff very pleasant and helpful. It was a clean basic room with a comfy bed and lots of electrical outlets for our needs. There was a light continental breakfast available but our time constraints meant we left without trying it.
−There was a slight issue with the tub not draining as quickly as it should. The motel is an older establishment but the room/bathroom were very clean.
