+Location is good,

“Good location. Could have been so much better”
+Location and the view
−It has so much potential to become a lot better. For instance: 1) the sitting area outside room was super dirty. Maybe it could be clean as well. 2) even after having almost full occupancy restaurant seemed dead. 3) staffs are doing their own dealing for some cottages in cash.

“Location is good, but management is bad and confused.”
+Location was good. At the end of the Palolem beach, away from the rush. Though room boys are ok, finding them is always an issue. They are on their own, did not see any manager sitting and managing the property and guiding room service boys, most of the time front desk is empty.
−When i booked the room, the owner confirmed in whatsapp also that booking is confirmed, Price is Rs. 19,328.40, and i need to pay him Rs10,000 advance. I paid the advance, and he said booking is all confirmed. But when i went there to check in, He said, total booking amount is Rs30,000/- and i have to pay Rs 20 k now. I questioned him, how is this possible as my booking is confirmed and Booking.com clearly shows its Rs. 19,328.40, he was like Booking.com shows their price on the booking day, our price is dynamic now its Rs 30k. I told him, we have done 100s of booking in Booking.com, Once the price is confirmed its the price we have to pay, unless otherwise stated in booking.com. Then another partner of the owner who seemed more reasonable said its the booking.com price we honor, then i showed him the confirmation email and pin, and chat with owner. After hagling for around 15-20 mins They allowed me to check in, and the attitude was like we are allowing you, no sorry, no acceptance of mistake from their side. Waited for 3 days, still no sorry for the hassle caused during checking, shocking us with dynamic pricing and asking us to pay Rs 30k. This attitude is totally unacceptable,

“Palolem in November... a great rest and reset”
+I liked the location, at the far end of the beach and not on the beach front, in nature, and close to walking path to Patnem beach and beyond. I liked that each cabin is separate and you don't hear gueste above/below you. The grounds are clean and well kept. We stayed one month after opening and they are still making improvements as there had been a month of rain that halted works. Had.a.grest massage from the in-house Ayurveda team. Other staff also very helpful.
−One thing the management has control over is the volume of the music played at the bar... Music.stops at 11pm but personally I'd have it very low, unless clients at the bar requested it. There are also plenty of fireworks going off on the beach. And moneys jumping on the roofs oh and crows cawing, and many dogs. Nothing that Ouren Palace can fix. Just use ear plugs... always useful in India😆

“Good place, very good location, we went in rainy season when there was only 1 staff partially closed”
