“Paradise on Earth.”
+It’s very difficult to describe what a place Kastara resort is… from the rooms and the services it offers, to the delicious food and drinks, but above all the staff service and their efforts into ensuring you receive the best possible experience. We felt welcomed, at peace even before checking in. I have a nut allergy and so I was very worried about food options and anxious about eating out, the staff at the restaurant made me feel confident to try so many wonderful dishes on their menus at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The drivers have also been impeccable, particularly Dewa who went above and beyond his way to contact the ATV company we had a booking with to find a lost item of ours (they found it despite loosing it underneath a waterfall). The cleaning staff.. they left a thank you note as we left a chocolate bar and extra water with a dog-shaped towel on our bed. The spa was also incredible, and they gave us ginger tea after our massage to finish off with a view to the jungle. Wow.. just wow. We will definitely return and be recommending this place. You feel, breathe and take in all the peacefulness of the place no matter where you look or who you speak to. This place is paradis
−It is further away from Ubud centre compared to other resorts but this is what we wanted, and anyway it’s a 20 minutes car drive when you want to go and the resort also offers free shuttle service to a meeting point where you can get Grab taxis.

+The location is definitely one of the property’s main strengths, ideal for those looking for a peaceful stay, away from the traffic and crowds of Ubud.
−The rooms are attractive and well maintained, although it is disappointing that there is no proper wardrobe and that there is occasionally a sewage smell in the bathroom. In my opinion, the restaurant is nowhere near the standard expected of a five-star hotel, and the service is often slow. For example, at breakfast, I simply ordered a smoothie that never arrived, despite waiting around 20 minutes. Overall, I got the impression that much more importance is placed on the property’s image and obtaining positive reviews than on the actual quality of the service and the attention given to guests.

+Imali smo predivan boravak u Kastara Resortu! Osoblje je izuzetno ljubazno, pažljivo i uvek spremno da pomogne. Posebno nam se dopalo koliko vode računa o čistoći i higijeni, što nam je boravak učinilo još prijatnijim. Hrana je odlična, a celokupno iskustvo zaista posebno. Sigurno ćemo se ponovo vratiti i od srca preporučujemo ovaj predivan resort svima koji posećuju Ubud! ❤️

“Exceptional hotel well worth a stay”
+Exceptional hotel to stay in. Amazing to be in the jungle with great amenities and hospitality. The pool is fantastic and easy to explore Ubud (30 min grab) and North of Bali from. The restaurant does a fantastic breakfast and lunch with great views across the valley. Can also recommend morning yoga. We also opted for the private pool which felt like an added bit of extra luxury. All felt good value too.
−The odd bad smell from the room but not off putting

“A beautiful escape in a dreamy location!”
+The resort is located in a quite area away from the hustle bustle and secluded in the forest valley. You are looking directly at the forest valley - especially from our private mini infinity pool it was a magnificient view. The room itself was also spacious, and all amenities were in line with expectations. The restaurant has a good selection of local specialities and the food is of the highest quality. The made-to-order breakfast spread is just amazing. The best point is of course the staff - extremely courteous and always eager to help! We rented the resort car during the stay and our guide Satinyak was just outstanding.
