“Very relaxing, love the Old World feeling of a building constructed years ago and the bar is great”
+The room was clean and tidy, bathroom was modern and also clean. The building is "Art deco", creaking stairs and a "history". Lovely!
−Pillows were a bit hard, but that's just me, no biggy.

“the location was very easy access to shop”
+the access to shopping centre was very close, there was plenty of choice of food for the free continental breakfast, bed was very comfortable.
−the room was very compact with not much room to move around in.

“Perfect for our purpose. We will come again as we have numbers of times before.”
+Location was perfect for our weekend plan we walked to many of the diners and social events we had planned. Wonderful to see the advance in maintenance that is going on with this wonderful old hotel.
−Breakfast was adequate but not a stand out of our visit. May be the option for a paid breakfast of higher quality would have been good to have. The kitchenette in the room could be more replete with cups plates cutlery and water in the fridge. Our fridge looking very sparse with just one 200ml carton of milk in it. I noticed last year in Japanese hotels that there is often a self service bar in the foyer where visitors help themselves to what they need including soap razors toothpaste even hand towels tea bags and packs of crackers and biscuits. This improves the quality of the hotel stay, significantly reduces waste and eliminates the job of replenishing each room after a visit.

“Very comfortable country charm”
+The continental breakfast is pretty basic. If you're happy with toast and cereal, it is completely fine.
−The decor in the rooms is pretty basic. The building itself is lovely though.

“Thoroughly enjoyable, lovely staff, and a great verandah”
+Location was fabulous...a short walk to the main street where we had a choice of places to eat. Rose, the woman at the hotel reception was fabulous ...allowing us to check out late as we were spending the morning helping to revegetate the local wetlands and wanted to have a shower after our work.
−Maybe a mirror in the bedroom and not just the bathroom.
