“Lovely stay with great access to all Washington has to offer.”
+Lovely location and friendly helpful staff
−The hotel decor is a bit old fashioned and could do with updating

“Nice Hotel”
+Nice hotel, easy to get places, breakfast good but a bit pricey. Nice to be served instead of a buffet. Staff very helpful and knowledgable.
−Everything is torn up in front off the hotel really a challenge with a taxi or car or on foot. The location was good but not great due to DC being dug up or redone.

“A hotel that needs to be brought up to modern standards”
+Beautiful historic property in a central location.
−Few sockets on the room, sink plug did not fit and sink was small - making shaving a challenge. TV reception was very poor.

−Bugs in my room, I was changed room and then on my final night in the new room there was a spider in my bed. Staff were keen to be helpful and did change my room the first time, as well as giving me a new toothbrush as there were bugs on mine from the room, but overall the cleanliness of the hotel was an issue.

“atmospheric, old-school hotel with excellent service in the heart of Foggy Bottom”
+this is a property that practices old school excellent service. there is a doorman and a porter. the housekeeping staff are excellent. i LOVED the cozy, sophisticated ambiance of the venetian room bar and our bartender was friendly and informative. my room was great, super comfortable bed and linens. had a great kitchenette too
−amenities/decor were just a bit tired. mostly felt very steeped in dc history, but room (particularly kitchenette) could use some updates.

“Nice place to stay in Georgetown near George Washington University.”
+They upgraded me to a suite which was nice but unnecessary. The hotel is an old hotel that has been very well maintained. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was clean and suitable for my stay. There was no coffee service in the room. The restaurant was nearly empty but the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
