“Try and get a better deal - don't pay full price”
+The beds were nice and comfy, the room was vaccumed and there were no signs of any pests of any kind (including moths). The shared kitchen was neat and tidy and clean. The third shared bathroom and toilet were clean and tidy.
−Our bedroom's ceiling wallpaper was falling off, there was a sketchy looking hole in the ceiling in one corner of the room. One of the fans didn't seem to work and both fans were dirty, everything other than the beds - was drab and shabby. The lock on the door was simple and didn't feel secure (it was - just didn't feel like it was). One of the shared bathrooms was in complete disrepair and smelled of urine, the renovated bathroom while clean - had poor drainage and a broken tile in the drain-area of the shower that could've cut someone's feet (didn't). Some of the pub patrons were a bit noisy but that can't be helpd. Overall - the cost was highly excessive for what we got (>$200 a night!? for a pub-room). Mudgee accomodation is cooked.

“Would stay there again”
+The Federal Hotel in Mudgee is a traditional country pub. If you’re looking for somewhere easy, nothing flash and good value for money, it’s worth considering. I’d recommend trying to book one of the larger rooms if you can.

“Great stay, would come back.”
+Rooms felt newly renovated, comfortable beds and clean shared bathrooms. Also was in a great location, able to walk into the town centre.
−We were given the wrong sized rooms and due to it being booked out they gave us a refund of the different amount, which was nice of them.

“Can't wait to stay again 10/10”
+The bed was absolutely luxurious felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and I absolutely loved how the room smell it was very clean and the bathrooms had a beautiful dispenser system with three different dispensers in case I didn't have my employer trees which was super convenient
−The only thing that I might have suggested would be a small little vanity mirror in the bedroom that would make things a little bit easier because I did decide to dye my hair and that a little bit funny but overall very very good experience

+Staff were very helpful. We got there later than expected. Bar staff showed me to the room and helped me book another room.

−No bistro but plenty of options within walking distance.the staff even offered to run a courtesy bus for anyone wanting to get food
