“Overall I would sum it up that the Avalon Motel is a 4 star motel at a 2 star price!”
+I normally would never rate a 2 star motel a perfect rating, but my experience at the Avalon motel comes very close! The amenities is clearly stated it did not have, it did not have. The ones it stated it had, it definitely had and they were great! My bed was more comfortable than what I've had before with much higher end hotels. The water (shower) was as hot as I wanted it and as much as I wanted. Most hotels/motels are so dark inside with really poor lighting. The lighting in my room at the Avalon was very bright and the entire room was lit up well. The temperature in the room was kept very consistent throughout the night with the AC unit. The place was very quiet and I had one of the best night's sleep I've had in a while.
−Virtually everything exceeded expectations! (The only issue, but not really an issue was that the tub required a rubber stopper if I wanted to take a bath. I used a washcloth to block the drain and had an amazing bath!)

−There was a needle behind the chair, the mattress had stains that looked to be possible blood, the air was not on when we got there so it took more than half the night to cool down

+Nothing the outside was run down and the room was worse.
−Nothing to like about this place. In the bathroom the shower curtain was moldy . There was only half roll of toilet. The tv only had one channel with the dish tv. The chair in the room was half broken and the burn holes all in it. The refrigerator just barely was cold. There wasn’t any ice in it ice machine either. The only positive was the ac worked. And the bed was ok to sleep in. I would not recommend staying here. Unless it’s was your only last resort.

−**Do NOT Stay Here: Bed Bugs, Roaches, and Aggressive Owners** After a nearly 6-hour drive, I arrived at this motel, needing just a hot shower and a quick rest before a wedding. It seemed like the best budget option. After pressing all three "ring here after hours" buttons, the presumed owner finally came out, though it was hard to hear him due to a broken PA system. Despite the rough start, he assisted me with the door, which seemed considerate. However, the nightmare began when I entered the room. A foul smell hit me immediately, but I was too exhausted to care. While eating my now-cold tacos, a giant roach crawled up the table. I killed it with my sandal but decided to check the sheets, only to find a bed bug on the pillow. That was the breaking point. I packed up and demanded a refund. The owner hesitated and offered another room, which I declined. As he searched for the receipt, his wife aggressively questioned who I was calling. Shocked and frustrated, I demanded my card back. She reluctantly returned it after more questioning. This motel has bed bugs, roaches, and very aggressive owners. I repeat: DO NOT STAY HERE. This is a serious health hazard, and I'm reporting it to pub
