+Great amenities, beautiful location: far enough from town to be secluded, close enough to get supplies and a coffee. Close to Karioi/Te Toto Gorge, etc, as well.

+We loved how spacious the apartment was. It had all the amenities we needed for a few days in Raglan, and we especially enjoyed the spa. The space was very quiet and peaceful, which made for a relaxing stay. We even got to meet Paz and Carlos, the host’s two very friendly pets, which was a lovely bonus.

“A nice place to hide away from the world for a week or two!”
+Nice apartment, plenty of space, good sized deck, spa, sea views, parking right outside the door, good water pressure, and a double shower! There are multiple units here but nicely arranged so there is plenty of peace and privacy.
−The couch and dining chairs are really at the point where they need replacing, and there are a few maintenance issues that need attention, such as the bathroom extractor fan not working and the heat pump being really dusty. We understand the hosts had been away on holiday, and these are all easy things to catch up on and sort out - certainly nothing that would stop us staying again. The biggest issue for us, however, was the mosquitoes! Even though it was the middle of winter and all the doors and windows were kept closed, we were still being bitten and kept awake by them throughout the night. We never managed to catch one coming in (so we can’t say for certain), but we are pretty sure they are getting in through the unsealed downlights, which have some VERY large gaps around them. If the mosquitoes are breeding in the gutters then the light from the fittings would be a strong attractant as the glow would reach to the outside. It's probably high time to remove those 90s downlights with some modern 'closed' ones so that the gaps are fully covered over...hopefully that will keep the critters out. “Great spot, hosts close by if needed. Loved the facilities' with use of the spa and BBQ.”
+Fabulous place overall. Really loved the open plan of the ground floor and how it opened up to the deck and spa pool. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and although 15 mins out of Raglan, it was a great spot. We did explore further up the road to the lookout which was great. The poor weather was expected that weekend and ended up not as bad as we thought it was going to be. I knew Raglan was the place to go and we would still enjoy it to with the weather forecasted the way it was.
−Hadn't realised that the upstairs bedroom was an 'open' space as such when I booked. Also it was extremely hot in that room at night.

“A great place to come home to after a day of adventure!”
+Kuro was a great place to call home for the 5 nights we were in Ragland. Lovely location just south of Raglan and close to great surf and wonderful hikes. Quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely nice and accommodating. The apartment felt spacious, was clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were clean and plentiful. The hot tub was a huge bonus and nice to come home to after a day out. Thank you!
