„Noisy, dusty and poor service. Not recommended“
−Noisy, dusty and poor service. Not recommended Unfortunately our stay at Benjamin House was a disappointment. Music was left playing in the hotel all night on a loop, with loud horn instruments, and we couldn't sleep. There was also a party next door until around 1 AM. The suite is next to what seems to be a lounge room, and the sound insulation is so bad we could hear everything. When I messaged the staff about the noise, they ignored it. No one apologized in the morning or afterwards either. There was no staff available during the night, and the staff we did deal with were unprofessional. The suite itself was dusty, and the bathroom is old with fixtures that move and feel loose. For the price, I expected a quiet night and basic care. Would not recommend.

„Hoiatan kõiki tuttavaid“
−Hotell kahjuks ei teavita potentsiaalseid külastajaid sellest, et nende territooriumil toimuvate erapidude ajal baaris on tubades öörahu välistatud erakordselt valju müra tõttu. Toa varakult broneerinud inimene, kes avastab südaöösel saabudes, et tal ei õnnestu sellistes tingimustes magada, peaks hakkama vahetama ootamatult hotelli... ? Hotelli administraator võiks selle enda peale võtta ja varakult külastajatega personaalselt kokku leppida, kui soovitakse vältida avalike negatiivsete kommentaaridega postitusi.

„Vackert, historiskt palats nära till allt du vill uppleva i Riga!“
+Otroligt vacker byggnad nära en stor park med mysiga caféer. 10 minuters promenad till gamla staden, några sekunders promenad till närmsta spårvagns-stopp. Vi hade rum ut mot gatan och var först oroliga att inte kunna sova på grund av trafiken, men det var absolut inga problem eftersom fönsterna var isolerade. Vi uppskattade verkligen läget eftersom det var väldigt nära till allt vi ville uppleva, så som Gamla stan, jugend-kvarteren och nyare centrum. Rummet var väldigt stort, fint renoverat och hade allt man behövde. Badrummet hade golvvärme och badkar. Vi köpte till frukosten och den var värd pengarna. Rummen där man åt frukost var väldigt stora och lyxigt inredda, det fanns gott om plats för alla gäster.
−Sängarna var ganska små, kanske 80cm breda. Dessutom ingen bäddmadrass vilket vi svenskar tyckte var lite konstigt. Vi sov riktigt gott ändå! Större sängar hade gjort upplevelsen ännu lyxigare tror jag.

„Ligt op een goede locatie dicht bij station en de binnenstad is goed te bereiken, evt. met de tram.“
+Er was een feest in het ene deel van het gebouw, met veel lawaai tot in de nacht. Doordat wij in het nieuwe gedeelte zaten drong het geluid niet tot ons door. Maar als je dichter bij de bar zit zou het onaangenaam kunnen zijn.
−De spullen op de kamer zijn wat aangetast door de tand des tijds, maar voldoen allemaal nog uitstekend.

„Beautifully restored period building, everything you need for a short stay in Riga.“
+Very lovely old building, belonged to Emīlija Benjamiņa, comfortable and spacious rooms, powerful shower, tea & coffee provided, fridge etc. also the building is exquisitely decorated throughout from an art nouveau period. We all enoyed our stay there.
−The fact there is no "human" interaction - everything is automated, no "personal" touch, no welcoming smile, no reassurance that if there are any issues or problems (which one of the group definitely had!) they would be resolved immediately.

+The building and its interior decoration are fantastic. Big and comfy room, easy check-in, friendly response to any questions I had. Extraordinary breakfast, yummy! And a very nice bar with good bartenders. Would definitely stay here again!

„A lovely hotel in centre of Riga, easy to get around.“
+I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s a historic building that has kept its original aesthetics. It’s not a modern hotel but it has a wonderful character which I truly enjoyed. Our room was spacious with super tall ceilings and beautiful view. I would love to say at this hotel again (wouldn’t mind picking even larger room, just to see what it’s like :D)
−It’s a self-service hotel. It would be great if there was someone at the reception who could show people around the hotel and assist with general queries. The bar was closed during our stay, It would be great to experience it as well. These are minor bits - our stay was lovely regardless.
