„Disappointing“
+Location is good, bar pleasent but wine options expensive and quality not up to the price.
−Restaurant dinner was only just passable, Breakfast was probably the worst received at a hotel. Bacon and hash browns totally dried out and unedible - refused to pay for it as it was that bad!

+Very enjoyable light dinner in the bar and excellent breakfast (with table service, unusually) in the refectory. Lovely grounds Well respected history Very nice and helpful staff, especially at Reception and in the bar and refectory. We particularly remember Howie and Ellie

„Disappointing but potential is there“
+Lovely location and the history was really interesting to read about when arriving. The various things to do were also really nice! The staff were exceptional at every moment and this was the best thing about our stay! I cannot fault this at all. They remembered that I needed oat milk at breakfast, they said hello when passing in corridors, they went above and beyond at any point.
−The walls and floors are ridiculously thin to the point where we could hear people all night walking around, slamming doors, talking, yelling. It also didn’t help being above reception as it was extra busy. There were cobwebs everywhere in the room and around the hotel and the carpets could be replaced in the room as they were really stained. For the price paid, it has potential but I wouldn’t stay again. I didn’t sleep at all and the beds weren’t that comfy either.

„Hôtel unique pour séjour événementiel“
+L'impression de dormir dans un couvent, ambiance, calme et vieux mobiliers. Les chambres sont spacieuses et mériteraient un peu plus d'âme et une touche de modernisation. La salle de bain était grandiose. L'hôtel est tellement grand qu'il se prête davantage à des événements plutot que des séjours individuels. Mais, l'expérience était sympa.
−Un peu l'impression de se retirer du monde comme un moine. Manque de vie et d'âme.

„It was.ok, but expensive for what it offered. For these prices you would have expected a spa.“
+It was quiet
−Considering the amount that our group paid in total, dinners and stays, would have expected the bar to have stayed open to accommodate us. Plus this would have made the hotel more money
