„Lovely old building in centre but so much noise at weekends“
+Great location in the centre near pubs, restaurants and shops. Lovely old school building with character. Great steps and entrance hall! Love the original coat hooks! Friendly staff and really comfy beds.
−The rooms at the back face onto a large courtyard area with bars which err open until 2am. There were hoards of people outside drinking despite being freezing cold and rainy and the noise was so loud from our room. The hotel had left earplugs in all the bedrooms to deal with it. But could still hear noise within them in! It wasn’t a relaxing weekend! I assume it would be ok during the week when the bars aren’t so full. But I wouldn’t stay there again on a weekend.

„Not impressed over simple booking instructions and cleaning.“
+I liked the location of the hotel to the centre.
−We had booked a double room, we were given two singles pushed together. Not impressed. Also on shaking the bedding an earring flew out. This was obviously a previous guest’s or a staff member’s earring. So very unimpressed with that also. The breakfast was ok, mushrooms were anaemic and no beans which left everything rather dry.

„Comfortable, and fabulous location for Steel City as it's near all the attractions.“
+This is probably the second time I have stayed at the Leopold Hotel, and it was a very comfortable stay. The room exceeded my expectations: a big bed and plenty of light coming through the windows (facing the quiet side of the street). The location is fabulous in the heart of Sheffield. Room service was fine; attention to detail was good.
−Fridge wasn't working properly, but in the end, I didn't need it.

„Beware of parking - but otherwise fantastic!“
+Great central location, a warm welcome from all staff. Lovely little room which was clean and well equipped. A good breakfast with a good range of options considering the price point.
−When booking via booking.com I'd selected a hotel with parking. It wasn't clear until AFTER booking that this is a nearby car park (not on site parking) and a very steep uphill walk (albeit only 5 minutes). This was uncomfortable with our luggage and I imagine could present real issues for someone with mobility issues. And the cost of £16.00 for the privilege was unexpected.
