These facilities are accessed by steep steps. Car parking is at the front of the hotel building and limited in size and requires quick dashes across on-coming traffic to enter or exit. The hotel building itself is beautiful and the staff friendly & helpful but only available for limited periods. There is no lift and our room on the 2nd/top floor required climbing a beautiful marble staircase. Our bedroom had a lovely timbered ceiling; the bedroom furniture was lovely to look at but somewhat large for the size of room, leaving limited space for two people and luggage. The bathroom had a sloping ceiling with the toilet under a recessed skylight resulting in some banging of heads. .The shower was set into a slight recess in the floor and it proved difficult not to wet large areas of the floor when using the shower. There was a good flow of water in the shower but sometimes a wait for warm water to work its way through the pipes from the boiler(?). There was a s
