„Great room, great service, great price“
+Fantastic room, location and great service and all for a brilliant price. We booked pretty last minute for a wedding and were very pleased with the quality and size of the room we got for the price we paid. Would stay again!

„Disappointing this time.“
+Location next to the conference centre. I was given a nice room upgrade.
−I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and it’s always been good but this was the most frustrating stay I’ve had there. The queues at reception to check in and out were dreadful. Staff said they’d had a new booking system installed which had caused problems. They needed more staff on reception to deal with the queues. I wanted to order room service food on one night of my stay and it took me 5 times of waiting on the phone for an answer before keep being cut off. When I eventually placed my order, I was told 20-30 minutes. An hour later still no food. After chasing it up, it eventually arrived and clearly had been microwaved to re-heat it as the side salad on the plate was hot!!! There just seems to be a real lack of staff in all departments. Quite disappointing this time. I’ll be back in November and hope it’s improved and back to the usual standards.

„Excellent for visiting Harrogate and location. Underground parking available on site“
+Room was excellent and comfortable. It was very quiet and bed was comfy. Breakfast was really good and items available for all tastes.
−Nothing from our point of view and easy walking distance into town.

„Generally, a comfortable stay in good location but lax customer credit card security measures“
+Breakfast excellent; comfortable bed; quality bathroom & shower facilities; spacious communal areas
−Problems at checkout - room tab not closed off as requested & unauthorised meals charged by another guest to our credit card. Insufficient checks by restaurant staff - proofs required, table credit card payments should be required at restaurant; It should not be possible to re-open a room tab - unauthorised use of credit card should not be possible; nor should it be possible to use room number only to charge extras - easy fraud to perpetuate. Room quite cramped.

„A very comfortable nights stay in a central Harrogate hotel“
+I am coeliac and require a strict Gluten Free Diet. When I went down to Breakfast and told the staff my requirements, they introduced me to another member of staff who took my order and personally supervised its production in the kitchen to ensure there was no contamination. This is the first hotel I have ever staying in where there was this level of service. I can highly recommend the hotel for its gluten free breakfast and level of care.
−All good, but we would prefer to have a dedicated shower with shower tray in the bathroom as it is easier for people with balance problems to use than stepping into a bath.
