„A little slice of paradise just outside of Ubud“
+Everything. Starting from their attention to the client, which was truly exceptional. Never experienced anything like this before. Especially Jun, Purnamii and Ade were professional, friendly, careful, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The place itself is an idyllic, beautiful complex, surrounded by nature. It is close to Ubud but with traffic it can take a while to get to the city center. For us this wasn't really an issue as we wanted to stay a bit away from the more touristic and chaotic part of this area. They only have 6 villas which means the place is always quiet and anyone's stay is ensured to be relaxing. Our room was clean and really, really comfortable, and even though it was right on the common pool, we were not bothered once by any noise. We also had the chance to try some of their complementary services and facilities: - Besides their (healthy and delicious) breakfast, we had dinner at their restaurant which ended up feeling like a private (and again, truly delicious) dining experience with an incredible view on the jungle and rice fields. - We booked a one-day tour through temples and Jatiluwih with one of their recommended driver/guides, Ari, which was

Every member of staff is friendly, kind, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more special. I booked a spa treatment every day and felt completely relaxed, comfortable, and pampered throughout my stay. An amazing experience from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back for another stay. Uma Kalai has truly set the bar high! We loved every moment of our stay and are already planning our next visit. The private pool was beautiful, set in a walled garden The whole hotel is private, quiet and set in beautiful gardens Views from the pool, restaurant and lounge were lovely. We were treated like royalty for 3 days. The staff were so lovely, checking on our every need. We enjoyed the village walk and Jamu cooking lesson included in our stay. Well done Uma Kalai.👏👏👏👏👏

+An unforgettable honeymoon stay We spent four nights at Uma Kalai for our honeymoon, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The villa itself was beautiful and exceptionally well designed. The bedroom, spacious bathroom with its own steam room, separate living room and private pool area all felt incredibly luxurious, yet warm and peaceful. The private pool was a particular highlight , it felt like a natural extension of the room, creating a wonderful sense of privacy and making the whole villa feel like our own little world. Everything was immaculate and beautifully maintained. The attention to detail throughout the stay was remarkable. Our room was perfectly arranged every day, and the cleanliness of both the villa and pool area was exceptional. Despite being surrounded by nature, we hardly encountered any insects, which was genuinely impressive. The staff were equally wonderful. Every member of the team knew who we were and communicated seamlessly with each other. They were thoughtful and proactive, often anticipating what we might need for our daily plans , even preparing sarongs and towels and making sure they reached our driver before we did. +This is a beautiful and very serene boutique property with amazing facilities and exceptional service. The villa we stayed in was luxurious and the heated plunge pool was a dream. I love the location just on the edge of Ubud with gorgeous views of the rice fields and the mountains in the distance.

+We heard about the chaos of central Ubud, so we opted to stay a little away. This was a great strategy. We started and ended each day at our lovely retreat. I usually only eat bfast at the hotel but it was so good, we ended up eating every dinner at Uma Kalai. Each meal was delicious & special. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 Rooms We loved our villa, Earth. We loved that the living room was separate from the bedroom so one person could be up and let the other person sleep. Food and drinks I would say the food was the highlight but it was actually Jun, the butler! One of the highlights of each day was talking to Jun & learning about Balinese food and culture.
