„Rundown hotel, but economical”
+Actually, the price was the best thing, and also the fact that I had a little balcony. It was only one flight up, and although from the picture it looks kind of shady, actually, we went through the entrance of the hotel next-door, which was nice and bright and glitzy. The bed was comfortable, I was there when it was chilly, and the radiator worked, and there were curtains on the window. For the price, I was satisfied. The area was quiet at night, but not too far from the shopping area.
−The staff was surly. I did my best to smile and say good morning, even in Turkish, when I would leave in the mornings and say good afternoon or good evening each time I would come in, and they would barely acknowledge my presence. Of course they are the staff of what I suppose is the sister hotel, which is next-door, and perhaps they are kinder to the people that pay more money. I certainly hope so. Also, they could use a few lessons in hygiene… Like putting bleach in the cup where the toilet brush goes. I pulled it out to use it and ended up with somebody else's caca on the end of the brush, which was kind of gross. A couple of hooks for towels would be nice as well.
