+A great local pub with lovely country accommodation. The food and staff were also excellent.

+Helpful and friendly
−The weather 😅
“Lovely location, fab food and staff”
+Location was ideal for walking/hiking - food was amazing, staff very friendly
−A little tired but it was clean, very little parking which at busy times would be a nightmare
“Great country pub!”
+Breakfasts were excellent. Freshly cooked and local ingredients. Evening meals also good but portions too big for us! Location is perfect for exploring north Dartmoor. Easy, pleasant walk through the Taw gorge to Sticklepath and the Finch Foundry (NT) - an operational water powered smithy.
−Room could have been cleaner. We found a discarded water bottle (the drinking sort!) under the bed. The tea/coffee provided in the room was just enough for our 3 nights but it would have been nice to have it replenished during our stay. To be fair though we didn't ask for extra.

“Relaxing in a stunning location.”
+Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, beautiful location. Have stayed before and hope to stay again.

+The staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Breakfast and the pub dinner were all great. If anything there was too much food! The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
−Parking can be a right squeeze but we were visiting off season so didn't have any issues
