+Very pleasant engaging young man who served dinner.
−A rather tired hotel. Room basic, bathroom clean. Food at dinner, awful. Bar noisy, didn't enjoy listening to other clients loudly discussing theirs and others love lives.

“The building is full of character, and the staff are excellent. Will be back”
+The staff are warm and friendly. We booked 2 nights but thanks to a delayed ferry sailing we didn't arrive to the hotel until 07.50am. The receptionist sent us straight in for breakfast before formally checking us in, which was a nice touch.

+Room was a good size, comfortable, warm, Breakfast was the best with a good portion of everything and very tasty Staff were professional, friendly and made my stay feel very comfortable. The girl on reception when I arrived should get a special mention as she was charming and professional and asked at breakfast if there was anything else she could get me. Couldn't do enough to help me. Very Good thankyou!
−A bit too warm one night in the room. Had to walk to the other building. wifi password supplied did not work but it was probably for the main building so i understand why this mistake was made. Service might have been slightly quicker but this was really not an issue, just filling up the space in your form.

−Location of the annex - the white Swan rooms. Footpath was closed on the main road and had to walk in a busy road.

+The staff are young and pleasant, especially the young waiter when we dined in the hotel proper.0
−I am an 80 years old diabetic Type 1, with limited mobility and I booked into The Old Lodge to be near my sister and nephew, but my daughter and I were sent over a hundred metres down the road in pouring rain, to an annexe. I had to manage my mobility rollator down several steps to the security door, then steps inside to our room. Guest information was one A4 sheet with limited information. There was a shower over the bath with no grab rails at all, so I was unable to use it.

“Perfect - Dubious at first due to a few negative reviews but our stay was brilliant”
+Clean room, Easy instructions to get to the room which was off site.

+We absolutely loved our stay here even though it was only for 1 night it was a truly delightful stay in luxury accommodation and great value for what we recieved.
−Nothing!! The place we stayed 'White Swan Rooms' were very nice clean and modern and also huge in size for hotel accommodation.

−Right outside a church so bell was going off every 30 minutes. Loud builders footsteps above room, late into the night and then started again early morning. Builder wasn’t informed that there was anyone staying in our room (room 22) so walked in while we were in bed at around 9am ish. No WiFi which is a bit shocking considering the price.
