+La vue sur mer et le confort.
−Le côté négligé de la terrasse qui tombe en morceaux, les poubelles sur le parking à la vue et l’odorat de tous. Mes voisins du dessus très bruyants mais ça, l’hôtel n’y est pour rien !

“A quiet, spotless retreat where Akram makes sure you want for nothing.”
+Akram, the general manager, made the stay. He was exceptionally kind and friendly, and made sure anything I needed was taken care of. Everything was very clean and well attended to. The restaurant and breakfast were both very good. It's a peaceful spot with a nice view.
−The location is a little remote, and without a car there isn't much within reach. In practice that hardly mattered for my stay. The restaurant is good enough that you won't want to eat anywhere else anyway.

“Gut für einen entspannten Stop auf dem Weg von/nach Mallaig bzw. Skye”
+Das Hotel ist mit dem Auto gut erreichbar und liegt hoch, so dass man von einigen Zimmern und vom Speisesaal schön aufs Meer schauen kann. Der hauseigene Parkplatz reichte an dem Tag für alle Fahrzeuge aus. Die Bahnhaltestelle liegt direkt gegenüber. Der Check-In war freundlich und unkompliziert, evtl. Fragen konnten gut beantwortet werden. Unser Zimmer lag Richtung Bahn, von der man jedoch so gut wie nichts mitbekommt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und mehr als ausreichend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war, da eher preisgünstig, noch i. O. Nach ein paar Minuten Autofahrt sind schöne Strände schnell erreicht. Es gibt auch eine kleine eigene Bar sowie wird auch Abendessen angeboten, beides hatten wir nicht in Anspruch genommen.
−Das Hotel ist in einigen Bereichen deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, was auch sichtbar ist. Das uns zuerst zugedachte Zimmer war auch von der Ausstattung her vorsichtig ausgedrückt "nicht schön". Unser dann erhaltenes Zimmer war dann nicht recht sauber und die Matratzen eher durchgelegen. Im Bad gab es, leider wie so oft, keine/kaum Haken bzw. wenig Ablagefläche. Wegen der nicht gut schließenden Tür waren die Geräusche vom Flur gut hören.

“Beautiful view but uncomfortable bed.”
+View was amazing, food was good but expensive, hotel was pleasant and public areas comfortable. Lots of parking. Room was warm. Nice building.
−Noise after 11pm. Sound of tables being dragged about downstairs, bed was really uncomfortable, shower wasn't powerful.

+View on the sea is stunning. The quality of the dinner was good.
−The value for money was not satisfactory. The radiator in the bathroom was not working. One of the two cups in the room still had coffee stains from a previous guest. There also appeared to be possible water damage on the ceiling. The chairs in the dining area were very stained. All in all, the hotel seemed to be only moderately well maintained.
