+Very convenient location for visiting the local area attractions Breakfast was excellent Staff extremely helpful , friendly , great information given from reception . Plenty of parking on site The evening staff in the attached restaurant were wonderful especially Cameron
−The road was a bit noisy just outside the front of the property The restaurant attached was ok but it’s a shame it wasn’t actually in the hotel The bed in our room was rather uncomfortable despite a topper on it ( we did mention this to reception ) perhaps a new mattress is due !

+Lovely building & very friendly staff. Very comfortable bed & excellent breakfast. Good value.
−Stairs difficult.
“For visiting the Kelpies a fabulous location, food was a bit lacking but staff pleasant enough.”

−Vegan cooked breakfast was lacking, just a normal breakfast with items removed, but otherwise ok. Waited for ages to be served in the bar as no bar staff present, eventually the person on the front desk came through and served. Evening meal in the Cooks restaurant across the carpark was pretty average, Wetherspoons was nicer, staff were friendly and helpful though.
“Decent Place”
+Easy access from main travel route, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Fair rate.
−The lift was not working, which we didn't know until we reached it. The evening desk staff was not particularly helpful and bar staff was in absentia for 15 minutes or so. One of rooms smelled strongly of damp carpet and there was some mold in the bathroom. His request for a new room was quickly filled with no problem.

−Location for me as I used train/bus - it was very difficult to get to without a car. Phone locator couldn't find it either! Toilet dripped.

+Great location for visitors to The Kelpies and The Wheel. Huge room in The Garden Wing. Tea and coffee etc in the room. Very welcoming staff, Cook's Restaurant for evening meal is a must, great food. Breakfast in the hotel was just right, good choice too. Plenty parking on site.
