+It was very comfortable and clean. The staff were so lovely and always there to help. The bar is very cozy and the food is brilliant as well as fairly priced!

“Cosy, welcoming place”
+The staff were super friendly. The location is ideal, less than 5 mins from the train station and at the top of the town with loads of cute pubs and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast was beautiful, so tasty and good portions.

−Stairs. Not a problem for us, could be an issue for others. BTW, our bags were in our room at check in (again, wonderful staff).

“Great location right in centre of Windermere. Literally 2 mins from Railway station.”
+Great bar, fantastic breakfast, great night sleep.
−Bit noisy from road facing room. Probably best to ask for a rear room if noise bothers you. No dedicated carpark but public one just down hill approx £10 /night. Easy luggage drop off outside hotel door.

“Lovely place, great staff, good breakfast”
+Great little place. Good location to get to the train station or busses for around the Lake District. Comfortable little room. Friendly staff. Good gluten free and vegetarian breakfast options.
−Got a bit noisy on Saturday night, but that's to be expected from a pub stay! Honestly would still recommend the place :)

+Ginge was great and welcoming. He served me an amazing cooked breakfast the morning that I checked out. By the end of my roadtrip, I still think his brekky was by far the best I had! :)
−The Elleray filtered as a hotel option with "Parking Available" at the time I made my booking in May. They have updated since then, but it still came as a surprise when I checked in.

“Great place to base yourself in the Lakes District.”
+Lovely clean room that suited us perfectly. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Not far from other restaurants and shops in Windermere if needed.
−Unfortunately there was no food available on a Thursday which was perplexing. We also had to drag our bags from a car park 10 minutes walk away, not a huge issue for us but others need to be aware.
