+Location. Helpful and friendly obliging staff, especially the owner and his father. Nothing was too much trouble. Spotlessly clean
−Somewhat limited menu which changed one item per category (starter, main, dessert) each night. Which when there are only 5 choices each is not alluring if you intend to stay for a week or more. However the food was cooked and presented well

“Comfort with a great breakfast”

+High standard hotel with warm friendly staff who made you feel perfectly ease. The Commodore is spotlessly clean the food is first class and the location is quite honestly unbeatable.

“The Commodore is a fabulous hotel!”
+The Commodore is a stunningly good hotel! The staff are amazing; nothing is too much trouble! The location is simply beautiful. If you select a room with a marine view, you will enjoy a constantly changing seascape over towards Appledore and beyond. Facilities for the disabled and those with mobility needs are excellent, but you do need to choose your room carefully; there isn’t a lift to the 1st and 2nd floors of the hotel. My wife and I found the food in the restaurant to be excellent. An extremely good breakfast was included in our room tariff and lunch and dinner were also available if required. Immediate access to the beautiful Tarka Trail was at the bottom of the hotel drive, so my wife and I were able to go out every day on our wheelchair bike and cycle for miles and miles on this magnificent trail! We were allowed to store our bike securely, undercover in the main body of the hotel for which we were extremely grateful! We will definitely be returning to the Commodore Hotel; we had a fabulous six nights…thank you so much!
