+I would have no hesitation in staying here again. The room I was given was very, very well renovated. The lead light panel on the door, the lovely big skylight to the huge big bed. Just a fantastically presented room. The dinning room, where it was a self help to a continental breakfast was also a walk in the past with some beautiful old furniture all well presented again. Thanks Kerry for a wonderful stay...Cheers...Rex Julian

“A beautiful property, comfortable bed and a fantastic host”
+This hotel has been beautifully restored and furnished. Stepping in to this rural property was a feast for the eyes. The bed was super comfortable. Supplies like tea, coffee, snacks were provided aplenty. Kerrie, the host has put her heart and soul into not just the building, she also treats her guests like family. This is a stay that will stand out and will have you telling your friends and family.

“Comfortable, cosy, friendly respectful”
+I did not have it as I do not eat breakfast early. However it looked inviting
−I understand that the owners are currently renovating the facility so it is a work in progress. Kerry was very gracious and I really appreciate her doing this work in the small Brookton community

+The super king-sized bed was very comfortable and 2x sofas & a very large tv were a great addition. Kerry, the host, was very accommodating and we appreciated the advice about the local area she gave to us during our stay. The recently renovated modern bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was great, with a selection of continental bits. We loved the dogs too who were cute and friendly!

+The care & attention the manager/owner is putting into the renovation. It was immaculately clean, warm & inviting with the open fire & two wonderful resident dogs.With imaginative ideas & plans for a gin distillery & cafe in the old bar area & the quirky artistic decor reminiscent of olden days, it was a super interesting stay

“Lovely Historic Hotel Under Long Term Renovation”
+The woman who owns and runs the place was great. They are in the middle of a multi-year restoration of this historic property and she spent time with us over breakfast explaining what they were doing, how they had decorated and what the future plans are. We had the "Suite", a spacious corner room with a very firm king bed and really good pillows. Eclectic decorating enthralled my wife. Two really friendly dogs on site. Elevator for luggage or people to go up or down to rooms. Good size TV with free Netflix. Access to the wrap around balcony from the room. Good continental breakfast included.
−When I read that we had the "Suite" I assumed that was an ensuite. Bathrooms were communal and a distance from our room. Both bar and restaurant are still under renovation. Street parking.

“Great place to stay”
+Great spot and nice room
−The fact that the previous occupants of the room had stolen the key so we had to go find a staff member to get a key so we could actually shut the door Also a little booklet or piece of paper with the wifi details and breakfast details time ect would have been nice as didn't get any of those details given to us

“Kerry is an absolute fabulous host. The building is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. We can’t fault it.”
+The property is a beautiful old building the style and how the owner wants to renovate it for the future intrigues me enough to come back.
−Nothing about the property however we stayed in the suite and the bed is quite hard. We managed by folding the dinner and placing it underneath us and leaving the Aircon on overnight to keep us warm.
