+Lovely overnight stop.
+Good water pressure in the bathroom. Next time we would look to book the bungalows in the back and instead of staying above the pub.
−Room right next to the busy main road was very loud. It’s an old building so the sound insulation isn’t great. Towels need replacing they were old and hemmed and didn’t reflect the price we paid. Service in the restaurant was ok. The menu said the steak would be served pink in the middle, so I assumed it would arrive that way. I didn’t specifically ask for it rare because I thought it was unnecessary. When I mentioned to my server it was overcooked I was told that’s just how it was served - even though I saw other guests with pink steaks. The feedback wasn’t well received and we felt uncomfortable for the remainder of our meal. Quality and service isn’t reflected in the price.

+Incredible food in the evening!
“Nice place, but Pioneer bedroom not up to standard.”
+It is a lovely property in a great location.
−We were in Pioneer room for the first time in many stays. The room is small, but well equipped with a double bed. Unfortunately the mattress is very uncomfortable as were the pillows and did not provide a good night’s sleep. Also you could easily hear the occupants of the adjacent room as if they were with you.

“Character filled hotel”
+Well appointed traditional hotel, clean and comfortable with lots of character. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ample parking.
−To access the room we had to climb a very steep set of stairs which felt quite dodgy, but this was part of the character of the place.

“Never answers or returns your calls”
−Despite calling their telephone number several times during the day , leaving 3 messages. Opting for their emergency number , not once where the calls picked up, only saying they where shut . No voice messages returned . Automated rubbish systems
