“Dated but clean and comfy, location good just up from the tower. Breakfast excellent choices. Bed comfy.”

−Was there 3 days and saw 2 staff wasn't any one about even went to reception and pressed buzzer no one came definitely understaffed

+The bar/entertainment room is really spacious. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast spread and choice is fantastic. All the staff are lovely and welcoming.
−The stairs to the dining area are quite steep and the door it is quite heavy. (But there is a lift. ) Although breakfast was mostly lovely the bacon was a little anaemic and the black pudding was solid.

“Wouldn’t recommend. although the staff appear polite, the hotel is overall not upto a clean standard you’d expect.”
+Unfortunately there’s not much good I can say other than the staff were polite.
−Very unclean. One of the 5 rooms we booked we were completely unable to use due to the cigarette smoke that hits you as you open the door. Which then meant we had to squeeze 2 people into one of the other 4 rooms. leaving a room we paid for unused. one of the rooms had a dirty tooth pick on the side, and the toilet didn’t flush. Another had an empty Doritos packet and fake nails still on the floor. When we approached the reception, the male was very polite but it was his first day. I felt really bad but he obviously didn’t know what to do, he was trying his best to get in touch by calling somebody which nobody answered so we had no choice but to squeeze in the other 4 rooms. Which were all so very debatable. We told the manager the following morning, which he responded to just take it up with booking.com which I have, but yet to hear back.
+Friendly staff ,good food . Homely,Perfect location. Great entertainment.
