−Bed a bit small, location is quite uphill and several issues with the curtains and the room door. Breakfast (50GEKL) and sauna (50GEL per hour per person) are very expensive

“beautiful place, very comfy accommodations, somewhat strange staff”
+It was new so really everything worked and looked very nice. Hopefully they will maintain it well in the years ahead. Views are tremendous and location great for the nearby mountain attractions.
−Staff, especially in the restaurant, could use some serious retraining. Waiters were not very professional and when there was a power outage they really had no clue how to respond. Rather than try to figure out what was happening and trying to figure out the best options for the customers all they cared about was being defensive and shouting at customers that it wasn't their fault that there was an electricity outage (which, as far as I could tell, nobody in the restaurant even suggested, of course it's not their fault). Just a weird vibe, and they weren't that friendly even before the power issues.

“Disappointed”
+The staff was nice and welcoming. We received our refund quickly..
−We expected more and were very disappointed. The room was not suitable for an older couple because there were too many stairs. You had to use the stairs to get to the bathroom/toilet. There was one chair for a room of 4 people. We had no where to sit. So we set the whole time in the restaurant or on the 4 chairs in the lobby. Sometimes we used the stairs as a sitting point. The pool is very small, and no more than three people can fit in it. The breakfast service was very slow, and items kept running out,there were no cups or coffee, the food got cold, and the dishes were often empty. The bread was served dry. The sauna costs an extra fee. There was no spa as advertised. Getting to the town center involved a steep downhill and uphill walk, so we couldn't make it to the local restaurants. As a result, we were forced to eat at the hotel restaurant, which was three times more expensive than anywhere else. We canceled our 2nd night at the hotel.

“Good choice in Stepantsminda, great Kazbek views.”
+Pretty good hotel in Stepantsminda, with great Mount Kazbek views. It was a quiet area. Breakfast more than ok. A small indoor pool, which we enjoyed.
−Cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel looks news, but needs some small repairs here and there.
