“Convenience made my stay worthwhile.”
+Location - excellent for my needs as visiting the Stainton Way care home.
−Room decor could have been more pleasant and with some paintings, etc. Dated and dreary. Car Parking should be included in price and/or available to pay at reception. Car park full making it difficult to park even though you've paid for parking. Food availability poor. Couldn't eat at lunchtime and stopped serving at 7pm save for expensive pizzas.

“Ok for a quick stopover”
+Great location, staff were lovely, breakfast was very good
−The hotel and pool are pretty tired, had to pay for parking, which we weren't aware off although £3 for the night. Everything was clean although very basic. The rooms and bathrooms look like theyve been "fixed up" a few times and just generally feel basic and run down. The pool was a bonus and it was clean with good showers, however the steam room was pretty awful, smelled bad and missing tiles as was the pool.

“Dreadful”
+I particularly liked leaving. Other than that it's hard to come up with many positives.
−Avoid at all costs. Parking: My negative review was going to be that despite at the time the booking.com site saying free parking (the answer in the Q&A section is still there and TripAdvisor also says so) I still had to pay £9 for three days. However worse than that, even though I paid I received a £100 parking fine! The Hotel will say that parking isn't controlled by them (though they likely choose the contractor). To someone staying they just want to know if they will leave feeling ripped off - well I certainly do. The Room: At first I assumed that until recently this was a hotel for temporary accommodation as the overall condition is remarkably poor and looked tremendously worn. Grubby surfaces, worn varnish on the wooden surfaces, chips off the paint everywhere and a generally dilapidated feel to the whole room. The room is large but sparsely filled. The mattress was thin and could feel the wooden bed underneath it. The TV was too small and far away to view from the bed. The toilet bowl dripped all night. Also: The condition of the hotel in general is tremendously tired and probably 10 years past overdue not just a refresh but a whole recondition! Nothing looks new or looked a

−The fact that the jacuzzi was out of action as it was main reason for booking. 2nd time in a row that's happened with 2 separate hotels on opposite sides of the country.
“Underwhelming.”
+Location was easily accessible and closed to friends and family.
−Tried to check in 90 mins early. Told I could not as a guest was still in the room. But when I tried to check in at the booking time we had to wait for an additional 30 mins. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about sadly. Most of it was lukewarm and most of the items were over cooked and hard. The costing of the executive double needs to be addressed as I feel the room does not warrant the extra money. The only plus for us was the staff. They were friendly and willing to help when needed.

+The breakfasts the gym and the pool. All excellent. Staff very friendly with easy check-in. Bed was comfy slept well
