“Outstanding Service”
+Owanna the receptionist was great, giving us useful information, helping us find a great authentic Romanian restaurant to eat at, a wonderful guided walking tour of the city, and her or her colleagues were there to greet us each day. They even provided a sack breakfast/lunch for us when we were scheduled for an all day tour. The hotel is beautifully decorated with antiques and paintings.
−The room was a bit small although beautifully decorated. We also had a shower that spilled out onto the floor and caused a musty odor for most of our stay.

+The Scala Boutique Hotel is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Bucharest. It is furnished with beautifil, quality antiques and is like being a personal guest in a friends beautiful home. I would highly recommend it. It's not like all the other hotels that all look the same and have no atmosphere...however there is no gym or extras like that. Breakfast was very extensive in a beautiful room.

“A "find" in Bucharest”
+Beautifully comfortable. Older premises with loads of character & quirks. Huge rooms. Staff were great - very friendly & professional. Location was just-right for old town (far enough away) and there were lots of food, coffee & shopping options around the hotel. Hotel was also quite secure.
−Creaky staircases but they did add to the character.
