“Pleasant”
+Location was nice. Room was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
−Couldn't see out side from room (had to come out side to see the dam.) Hot water not working well. Breakfast was not worth for what we pay.
“Book but it may get cancelled last minute”
+The pictures.
−We called ahead to see if we could book in. We have been booking 1 night in a few places and extending to two if we have wanted to explore for longer (which has been 95% of the time during our 30 day visit to Sri Lanka) When the lady answered the phone she wasn't happy it was for one night. We said we would get a call back confirming either way. That didn't happen so assuming we were forgotten, we booked through booking.com the day before our stay. On the morning of our stay while travelling from Ella to Kandy the accommodation was cancelled, reason being, a water leak. We were offered a sister accommodation but decided to book in with someone else, impeding our journey. We were disappointed. Ended up staying in Kandy for 2 nights anyway. The cancellation didn't feel very transparent to us considering we're traveling in shoulder season and lots of places are preparing to open for high season.
“Exceptional”
+Quiet, calm and the view.

““Our stay at the hotel was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and relaxation, making it a memorable experience.””
+“I loved the property’s serene location, spacious rooms, and top-notch amenities, particularly the relaxing spa and excellent on-site dining options.” "The hotel’s beautiful location near the Mahaweli Ganga offered stunning river views, creating a tranquil and picturesque atmosphere that was perfect for relaxation."
−"The lack of complimentary water bottles in the room was a minor inconvenience during our stay." "The Wi-Fi was slow and inconsistent, making it difficult to stay connected. It would be great if the hotel provided a stronger, fast-working connection in each room."

“A definite 10/10 for me”
+Pavlin Lodge is Very luxurious for a budget hotel. Didn’t seem budget at all. Very clean and hygienic rooms, restaurant, washrooms and lobby. Staff was very friendly and polite. Extremely amazing view of the dam and the river! Looks even better at night when the dam lights come on. Fabulous breakfast at a very very minimal fee. Quality bed linen. Comfortable spring mattresses hence we slept very well. All essentials are available in the room. AC was brilliant! The best we’ve had so far. We definitely would visit again! Costed us less than USD 25 for facilities and services worth usd 100.
