“Definitely not a luxury hotel.”
+Location is great.
−Ambitious to call it hotel. No common areas to speak of. Tiny reception area. Breakfast “room” is area next to reception with four tables. Breakfast is laid out on small table in corner. Receptionist makes coffee in reception. We were not offered cooked breakfast but my wife got fried eggs on demand from the kitchen. Embarrassing when famy of 4 showed up for breakfast and there was no space for them. Our room had no visible historical features, it was all modern design. Cheap water kettle with nescafe instant powder was provided. Bathroom water was either too hot or too cold. Booked late and paid EUR350/night for what I thought would be a luxury hotel. Clearly not worth the price. Big disappointment, certainly not worth the price. Seems to be plenty apartments for rent in area instead.

“Highly recommended place to stay in the old town of Split”
+The location was great and very special. We’ve stayed in room 4, which still has parts of the old walls in the room. Such a nice experience. The staff was very good, helpfull, kind and attentive. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

“Excellent boutique hotel with incredibly engaging staff”
+The location was great, the room was superb and the staff were so, so helpful. A really great, small hotel

+You can't park in the Diocletian Palace but we booked parking through the hotel and were given good instructions which were updated as we went and met at the parking space and the member of staff carried our bags to the hotel. The staff went over and above to make sure we were ok. For example, we don't tend to eat breakfast so they checked if we wanted it and if not could they make us a packed breakfast to take away. Also, one day I accidentally put the do not disturb sign on the door and they text me and asked if that was what I wanted because they were happy to clean the room for us. I've never had that before. I think it is because it is a boutique hotel. You are right in the middle of the pedestrianised area, walking through restaurants to get in but we never heard a sound from outside even though our room was on the same floor as reception (1st floor). Aircon worked brilliantly and we had everything we needed. A very nice and nicely located hotel with lovely staff.

“Lovely stay in fascinating Split”
+Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of variety at breakfast with wonderful homemade baked goods, hot options and very good coffee.
−Lighting in bathroom very poor. Nowhere to sit outside. The exterior photos show tables which are actually owned by a restaurant independent of the hotel.

“Would recommend unconditionally to anyone wanting a central historical location.”
+Central location, brilliant staff, just 7 very comfortable rooms. They met us off the ferry and at the end of our stay arranged our timely transfer to the airport.
