+I booked the hotel through Booking.com, but upon arrival, my Visa and Mastercard payments were not accepted, and the hotel refused to let me stay. Later, a friend made an order at the hotel, and I was charged double in local currency. I would like an explanation and a refund for the extra charge

“Never again. Avoid at all”
+Room, bathroom, internet, information, breakfast
−Worst view from my window we’ve- had to keep curtains closed so I would be depressed. Toilet not functioning - I had to fill the cistern with water manually to flush. Toilet seat broken and too small for toilet. No decent internet. Had to move room sim attempt to help signal but still variable and patchy internet. Room trolly with dirty plates from other rooms parked outside my room door…. Etc etc

“Short answer,this hotel isn’t what is advertised as is.Simply look for something else.”
+The breakfast was great,comfortable bed.
−Everything else: 1.The booking and check in:A small change in booking on the site took hours for a response only to be told to jump another hoop,a correction is made from our end that ends up being twisted to charge us more at reception.Please note:This hotel is NOT cancellation at anytime,a matter that they have reiterated severally on the site policies.They ended up strong arming us into keeping money they overcharged us even after showing them the policies they’ve clearly listed here.The check in is alright,the lady at reception lovely. 2.The rooms:The rooms are musty and smell dump.No proper lighting.the showers are hot but spring very weirdly.They need to wash them or replace,the bathroom tap was leaky,couldn’t get past the tap tap tap of water falling all night. 3.Staff:The staff is overally okay.They’re lovely and try their best to be helpful. 4.The area:This hotel is located around a new construction area,abit of slums around but overally safe. 5.The food:The breakfast was okay,a small selection of Ethiopian cuisine. Should you stay here? Short answer:No.For peace of mind,find another option ,the price might seem like a deal but that’s you getting roped in.

+Localisation recommandée mais en pleine zone de travaux…
−Réservation et paiements fait pour une chambre supérieure que je n’ai jamais eu. Logée au 11e étage avec le bruit du bar dans les oreilles et de meubles bougés toute la nuit au dessus de ma tête.

−Mosquitoes, sink and shower in the bathroom gets flooded. Bad draining system
“Again very nice and I will stay again.”
+The effort from the staff was exceptional again.
−There was a problem with the WiFi at the end of the building.
+When the options were available, food from the 1st floor restaurant was good.
−The staff at the reception lacks training. From check-in to check-out and invoicing, the process was not smooth at all. Names on the invoices got mixed up and originally i got charged for chips i did not even consume in the room. There is not much happening around the hotel, except for a lot of construction works.
