“Lovely pension with amazing hospitality and views”
+What a joy of a pension in which to stay. We absolutely loved everything about our brief stay at Pension Marianna. The location is fabulous, with a view over the city from the breakfast patio and our room and a quick walk downhill to the center of town. The building itself is lovely, with beautiful architectural elements of the historic building throughout. The family who manage this property are lovely and so kind and attentive. We received a fabulous dinner recommendation upon check-in. And the breakfast was one of the best of our trip, with homemade elements and an orange cake I will be dreaming about.

“Farbenfrohe Hotelanlage/Zimmer am Hang in historischen Mauern gelegen”
+Lage des Hotels und Aussicht Richtung Stadt Festung. Frühstück auf Terrasse, typisch griechisch mit viel selbst gemachten Speisen
−Für den Preis war das Zimmer sehr, sehr klein und erfüllte nicht den Eindruck denn ich mir aufgrund der Fotos bei Buchung erwartete hatte. Sehr viele Stufen bergauf und bergab vom Eingang Hotel bis zum Zimmer und retour

“Great room and staff. Nightmare cobblestone walking and climbing up steps is part of the experience.”
−I did not like finding out the location of the hotel means it would be necessary to walk, rolling heavy suitcases and going up stairs to get to the Reception. This should be clearly disclosed in the listing -- not something you discover weary at the end of a day traveling. The young man manning the Reception Desk came immediately to the rescue with the suitcases -- otherwise we would probably have left before ever seeing the room. However it should be clear you have to walk to arrive. Also, to get from our room to the Breakfast Terrace meant climbing up 69 stone steps.

+Wir waren 3 Personen und bekamen ein Zimmer mit einem oberem Stock und kleiner Teeküche. Hatten deswegen sehr viel Platz was wirklich schön war. Für den Strand konnten wir extra Badetücher vom Hotel nehmen. Morgenessen war auf der Terrasse zu oberst mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Frühstück war ganz gut, es gab viel Auswahl.
−Die Rezeption ist zu oberst, das heisst sehr viele Treppenstufen. Mit Gepäck ist das nicht sehr praktisch. Dies könnte vom Zugang im Dorf besser beschrieben werden. Vorallem wenn das Zimmer dann an der Strasse im Dorf unten ist. Für eingeschränkte Mobilität ist das Hotel nicht geeignet. Parkplatz zu finden war eher schwierig. Es gibt nur wenige Parkplätze oberhalb des Hotels (näher bei der Rezeption). Es gibt viele Parkplätze beim Strand, was etwas weiter vom Hotel entfernt ist. Darum empfielt sich das Gepäck bei den Parkplätzen oberhalb der Rezeption zu platzieren und danach einen zu suchen.
